2nd Trimester - Get things done!
2nd Trimester… now that I think back to those glorious days of being able to bend over and get out of bed with ease…it was the best part.
2nd trimester is really truly when you should try to get things done if you are feeling up to it. You can move, your back isn’t killing you and you are not having to go to the bathroom 100 times.
Again, this is just how my pregnancy felt. Everyone is very different.
Now that we are weeks away from meeting our little dude, the 2nd trimester was so lovely. I could still fit into clothes and food could be eaten in meals not small meals without feeling so full! But its all part of this crazy pregnancy ride!
2nd Trimester Foods and Drinks:
Water - of any form that you can manage. I gravitated towards lukewarm water ( I never thought I would be able to do that) because as he grew cold water seemed to make him move much more. I also carried a water bottle of ice water around constantly to try to remind myself to drink more.
Watermelon - my watermelon craving continued and only got stronger
Almond milk with Honey - This was a really strange craving but I was trying to get more calcium and I cannot stand milk. My mom said when she was pregnant she would drink warm almond milk with honey. So I found Almond Breeze’s milk “with a touch of Honey” AMAZING! I didn’t drink it warm but I am sure it would be delicious that way too!
Cucumbers/Carrots - Cucumbers and carrots became a staple during 2nd trimester as well. I think my cravings are anything crunchy and refreshing.
Berries - Strawberries, raspberries and blackberries have been a go to as well. They are great for the baby as well so I try to have those daily!
